Ball Drop Views in New York City

Looking for ball drop views in New York City? Well, Manhattan (close to Times Square) is the only place you should be seeking a venue for ball drop views. Here are a few venues that was shared with us from members of the New York Forum.

Dining: Diner & Restaurants
* Bubba Gump Shrimp Company
* Olive Garden
* T.G.I. Friday’s
* R Lounge

Expect advance reservations and minimum age requirements if alcohol (such as champagne) will be served to guest.

Lodging: Hostel, Hotel & Motels
* Doubletree Guest Suites Times Square
* Marriott Marquis Hotel Times Square
* Sheraton Manhattan Hotel
* Renaissance Hotel Times Square

Expect advance phone reservations for the room with triple digit rates and require a minimum stay with the lower the rate, the longer the days and the higher the rate, the shorter the required days of stay. Since the weather can ground your return or connection flight from LGA or JFK, try to have the contact information ready of a economy hotel that you can switch to for the remainder of your stay. Other options would be to take the train or bus to another airport that flights are unaffected by the weather.

If you just arrived from JFK, LGA or EWR airport with lots of luggage, consider renting a locker near Penn Station for your things if you will not be reserving hotels in New York. Please be sure to take them when you leave or they will be given to the New York State Police who will donate them after 90 days if you do not retrieve them.

Acrostic Poems on New York

Below are a few acrostic poems on New York which you can learn to do at StudyZone.org. If you need help with acrostic poems on other topics, feel free to ask in the homework section of our forums.

Big Apple by Jamerican Steve
Big Apple, Big Apple
It is our hometown
Grooving all day through sundown

Airports are very close to it all
Penn Station, Javits, even the mall
People upon people, you will see
Living in Brooklyn and even Queens
Everyday it’s what we see, living in NYC

The Knicks by Jamerican Steve
Thump, thump goes the ball and our rushing hearts
Happy fan cheering the beautiful piece of art.
Everyone’s eyes wide open and fists tightly clenched.

Knicks, Knicks, Knicks is wiping up the court.
New York, New York can be heard all about.
I join in too and pound my numbered vest.
Celebrating all of the stars who are basketball’s finest
Knicks, Knicks, Knicks still wiping up the court.
Score at the end is an amazing 100-0 blowout.

Metropolitian Transit Authority by Jamerican Steve
MTA, MTA, once again you let me down
Tardying my trains needed for uptown
Another beautiful day in the city stuck underground

New Jersey by Jamerica Steve
New York is a state in the Mid-Atlantic
Each of the five Boroughs are the best
Wether it’s in the East or in the West

Jump on the PATH with your MetroCard
Easy it is as it is not too hard
Running underground for miles and miles
Soon you’ll arrive in style and a smile
Exiting cars you should not do as the train is a go
You will aquire tickets that request you to show.

New York City by Jamerican Steve
New York is a state in the Mid-Atlantic
Each of the five Boroughs are the best
Wether it’s in the East or in the West

Young and old come each year
One by one rejoice with cheer
Rest they do not as there is many to see
King of cities is NYC

Chase your dreams, chase your careers
In the most populous city for many years
Take our advice and check out the scene
You’ll love the city plus the Lady in green.

New Jersey by Jamerican Steve
New York is a state in the Mid-Atlantic
Each of the five Boroughs are the best
Wether it’s in the East or in the West

Jump on the PATH with your MetroCard
Easy it is as it is not too hard
Running underground for miles and miles
Soon you’ll arrive, with a smile
Exiting you should not do as the train is a go
You will aquire a ticket that request you to show.

As you can see the above acrostic poems:
1. Wrote the New York words vertically.
2. Each line related to the subject it is about.
3. Each line of the poem began with the word’s first letter.
4. The poem told a simple yet fun story on New York.
